Eddie Murphy stars in the 1994 film "Beverly Hills Cop III", where he reprises his role as Alex Foley. This time, Foley is investigating a car-theft ring that leads him to a theme park in southern California. Directed by John Landis, known for his work on the hit film "Trading Places", the movie has a running time of 104 minutes and features interviews with the cast and crew.
Despite the familiar setting of Los Angeles, this third installment in the series is not quite as charming as its predecessors. Foley finds himself at the Disneyesque WonderWorld, a theme park filled with shady security agents and danger at every turn. While Landis brings some fun moments to the film, the mix of action and comedy falls short compared to his previous works. The action scenes are sloppy and shockingly violent, which seems out of place in a film with a comic tone.
On the bright side, Bronson Pinchot makes a return as the character Serge, stealing the show in two hilarious scenes that almost upstage Murphy. The movie is presented in English with the option to watch a French dub. Despite its shortcomings, "Beverly Hills Cop III" is a must-watch for fans of Eddie Murphy and the iconic character of Alex Foley.
